Storjungfrun Toppatall Guest harbor

The guest harbor at Toppatall is an obvious place to visit if you have your own boat. Here you will find one of the finest sandy beaches on the Jungfrau Coast and excellent hiking trails throughout the island, which is a nature reserve.

At Storjungfrun and Toppatall there are also barbecue areas, camping tables, waste disposal and an environmental toilet. The site is frequently used by boaters as an excursion destination and bathing place.

Storjungfrun offers a wide variety of soil types, from bare rocky outcrops, pebble fields and dry, boulder-rich moraine land to calcareous fertile land. The small islands around Storjungfrun are of great importance as resting places for migratory birds and breeding grounds for several bird species. Storjungfrun Island is about 3.5 km long in a north-south direction and 1.5 km wide. There are about 14 km of marked trails on the island waiting to be explored. The island is relatively unexploited with a varied landscape, rich in flora, several historical values that are of great importance for outdoor life and recreation.
