The Ljusne Walking Loop
The walking loop is just over 2 km long and consists mainly of gravel paths and paved roads. Parts of the route offer beautiful natural surroundings, including the scenic Bruksparken and stretches along the Ljusnan River. A short section follows a road shared with motor traffic.
Bruksparken features a boules court and several benches with tables. If you fancy a slightly longer walk and want to enjoy more of the coastal scenery, you can cross the road bridge to Ljusne Harbour and continue towards the pilot station. Once there, simply turn back and follow the same route. This adds approximately 1 km to your walk. There is a bench just before the boat jetties.
Along the way, you’ll also pass one of Sweden’s longest graffiti walls and the former chain factory, now home to a cultural association. Nearby, the old power station houses an exhibition space.
The nearest bus stop is called Ljusne Torg. Parking is available near the walking loop, with Ljusnefjärden being a recommended option.
